2016 Nexus Open Training Sessions

Nexus Open Training sessions have become incredibly popular since we launched them 6 years ago. These 60 minute seminars are designed to help our Community members get prepared for the new rate season by focusing on one RFP-related subject each week for 2 months. The training is aimed at Chain Users rather than Hotels.

Each session will run twice per week: on Wednesdays from the US starting at 9am US Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) and on Thursdays from Europe starting at 10am Central European Time (CET). The sessions are free of charge, open to all Nexus clients, and will be conducted via our online training system. Each session will be limited to a maximum of 50 participants. I’m sure you’ll appreciate that we would like as many people as possible to benefit from this training so it would be helpful if you could opt only for those sessions you feel would be the most useful. If we have too many requests for participation from the same hotel chain, we may have to ask one or two people to step aside for the sake of another group.

Jun 2 Pre-Season Analysis / Benchmarks for 2017


 Attending


Look at measurements of past performance as you plan for the upcoming season. You have numerous management reports available in Nexus that provide data for your best analysis of recent activity & setting benchmarks for the 2017 season. In this session, we'll review the options available from worXcentral, RFPworX: Consortia, RFPworX: Corporate and TargetworX. If you valued the Industry Insight & Benchmark analysis from the Nexus Community Forums, this is your chance to learn how to create your own specific Company driven data, including internal measurements of Hotel Engagement, RFP conversions, etc.

Most hotel groups have some kind of Business Qualifier process, and it's usually done on a spreadsheet. TargetworX puts the whole process online and integrates it with the other Nexus applications. ShareworX can be used as a pre-RFP season preparation process, an internal solicitation tool or as a means to efficiently respond to any variety of Custom Solicitations (bids not using GBTA or Ratefinding formats)

Jun 16 RFPworX: Corporate - Creation & Management of the RFP

You'll gain a better understanding of the nuances between building a GBTA vs Ratefinding RFP and hints to building the RFP in a manner that best serves your customer and your hotels. We'll also look at how you manage the RFP as the due date approaches . . . reviewing Hotel responses, updating statuses as needed and identifying late / non-responders that need an extra "nudge".
