FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nexus, one of the hotel industry’s leading providers of online sales management systems, announced today the completion of a direct interface between its own worXcentral database and Reconline’s Central Reservations System (CRS). Reconline offers CRS and Distribution services to over 6,000 hotels and the new connection will mean a huge reduction in manual input for all properties subscribing to Nexus’ services. The primary purpose of the interface is to make it easy for Reconline hotels – mainly independent properties and small chains – to apply for inclusion in various hotel programs processed through the Nexus RFP system. The RFP process requires hotels to submit hundreds of fields of data to clients, many of which also reside in the Reconline CRS database, though often in a different format. With the new interface as much as 95% of data needed for RFP participation is transferred between the two systems, saving hotels considerable time and money. Geoff Andrew, Nexus’ Managing Director comments, “Reconline has a very large base of hotels and this latest development makes life considerably easier for those involved in the RFP process. In fact, we expect the improved efficiency to result in double the number of hotels responding to bids this rate season compared to last – and that means more business for everyone.” Markus Maissen, Reconline’s founder and CTO adds: “We are a highly automated organization and welcome any opportunity to eliminate double entry and make processes quicker and easier for hotels. Nexus has a very important role to play in helping us deliver business to our properties so it makes sense to maximize the number of hotels applying for next year’s programs.” |
